Image of Smoothie to Boost Your Immune System

Recipe: Immune BOOSTING

Boost your immune system every now and then with a conscious choice of ingredients to strengthen your health, especially during these crazy Covid times. Doing all we can to stay fit and healthy is vital and this can be done so simply through food. Many Ayurvedic herbs and spices have such powerful properties that when taken internally whether that be in supplement form or through food, our internal organs and systems will truly thank us.

Let's talk about Turmeric for a minute - it's been used for thousands of years in India and other Asian countries for its endless benefits. Firstly, it is highly anti-inflammatory meaning any internal problems such as IBS can be soothed and balanced. It also helps to reduce inflammation around the joints or around injured areas. Secondly, when used externally on the skin, this anti-inflammatory effect helps to relieve areas of congestion and bring an overall enhanced complexion to the skin due to Turmeric's natural skin brightening properties.

Turmeric features as the key ingredient in our Radiance skincare range. Given that our products contain so many Ayurvedic extracts and fruit enzymes, we love to draw inspiration from our Ayurvedic and nature driven philosophy when creating recipes to make Ayurveda even more accessible to everyone.

We’ve teamed up with Luce Hosier from What Luce Eats to create an Ayurvedic inspired smoothie recipe that is bound to boost your immune system into a state of utter health. You don't need a commercial kitchen installation in your home to whip it up. Give it a go and tag us on social media (@urbanveda) as we’d love to see your creations.
