What the best hydrating toners do for your dry skin:
Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the fluids in the eyes and joints. Many toners offer hyaluronic acid as a magical ingredient to solve all your skin problems. But here is the thing, different forms of hyaluronic acid are used for different cosmetic purposes.
Hyaluronic acid, when used in toners, results more than anything, in a price increase in what you pay for your toner, with no actual promised changes in your parched skin. We feel it is more important to invest in a toner that is made from natural ingredients, that respects your skin’s natural barrier, helps soften skin and is 100% alcohol-free. So, our answer is no, you do not need to buy a toner containing hyaluronic acid.
Owners of thirsty skin will already know that a good hydrating serum and moisturiser are key to quenching dryness and dehydration, but a really good toner is also great to have on your side. Toners are already renowned for their efforts on acne-prone and oil-prone skin types, but their wonderful work on the drier side seems to be overlooked thanks to their old-school bad reputation of featuring drying ingredients such as alcohol and astringents.
But times have changed and there is a new generation of hydrating toners out there that do exactly that, hydrate parched skin. The one thing that dry and dehydrated skin types are missing out on is the glow that comes with a dewy burst of hydration, our soothing hydrating toner has you covered.
